It is not enough to collect data.

Schools must monitor and evaluate the progress of students as well as their own effectiveness.  Data analysis provides the means to do this. analyse it.

MIS systems provide a number of tools to enable this.  SIMS.NET has built in tools while Facility CMIS's powerful 'Reporting Engine' allows a wide range of custom reports to be generated.

Sometimes, for reasons of accessibility or portability, spreadsheets can be a useful tool.  For a whole heap of reasons, schools should avoid using spreadsheets as the database to store and manage data but, as an analysis or presentation tool, spreadsheets can be invaluable.

We have developed a number of bespoke spreadsheets which provide a means of investigating aspects as wide as student progress and lesson observations.
